Olivier is an ecologist (PhD thesis in 2008), engineer at the CERPAM (Center for Pastoral Studies and Support for the French Mediterranean and Southern-Alps regions) in Digne-les-Bains. In the course of his career, he has studied savanna grazing systems (South Africa), the relationship between wild herbivore foraging strategies and breeding success (particularly white rhino) and livestock management practices for grazing herbivores on rangelands of South America (Brazil and Argentina). He particularly studied environmental impacts of management practices including impacts on climate change. Today, he’s working as a pastoral engineer in South East of France with farms and sheepherders daily exposed to wolf predation.
